Times were somewhat slower in Friday’s second Rolex Series practice session at New Jersey Motorsports Park, but Joao Barbosa remained atop the time charts thanks to a lap at 1:16.616 in the No. 9 Action Express Racing Corvette DP.
The lap was nearly a second slower than Barbosa’s 1:15.630, which led the morning session. Alex Gurney was second in the afternoon at 1:17.059 in the No. 99 GAINSCO Auto Insurance Corvette DP, followed by Ozz Negri at 1:17.080 in the No. 60 LiveOn Ford/Riley.
Dane Cameron led GT at 1:22.601 in the No. 42 TheRaceSite.com Mazda RX-8 ahead of John Edwards at 1:22.672 in the No. 57 Stevenson Auto Group Chevrolet Camaro GT.R, and Andrew Davis at 1:22.696 in the No. 59 The Brumos Companies Porsche GT3.
