Z06 GT3R At Saturday’s Rolex 24 At Daytona

Saturday’s Rolex 24 At Daytona

The Pratt Miller Motorsports GT3R

The debut of the Pratt Miller Motorsports Corvette Z06 GT3R promises an impressive start, securing a spot within the top 10 in the highly competitive GT field for the IMSA Racing Weather Tech Sports Car Championship’s Rolex 24 At Daytona on Saturday.

During the Roar Before the 24 weekend, Antonio Garcia led the Corvette Racing effort for Pratt Millers in the No. 3, setting a noteworthy lap of 1:44.786 in the Corvette Z06 GT3.R during a red-flag-interrupted qualifying session. Teammate Tommy Milner in the No. 4 closely followed with a time of 1:45.215. The intensity of the class was evident as the first 10 GTDPRO cars were within a second in qualifying, showcasing the depth of competition.

Tuxedo Black w/White Interior, L84 327/375hp Fuel Injected Big Tank.

This amazing “Tanker” was completely restored around ’12. Very little was known at the time about the car, so AutoAncestry.com was brought in to do a search for all previous owners and information on the car. The N.C.R.S. Shipping Data Report was also ordered and found that the car had been built on May 19, 1964, and delivered to Guaranty Chevrolet in San Diego, California. Search results showed it was ordered by a gentleman in the Navy, who must have had some racing in mind. The car is equipped with not only the N03, 36.5-gallon gas tank option, but also transistor ignition (offered for the first time in 1964), the L84 fuel injected engine, J56 vented metallic racing brakes, F40 suspension, and quick take off wheels. In other words, all the 1963 Z06 package options. The color combo of Tuxedo Black exterior with a White leather interior and Black carpets is also quite unique and very rare.

Very nice L79 With Rare Tuxedo Interior!

Red w/White Interior, L79 327/350hp, 4-Speed.

The very sharp ’67 featured here is a car that we sold the previous owner almost 30 years ago! When he purchased it, the car was painted in its original Sunfire Yellow color with Tuxedo (White/Black) interior and White soft top. But the decision was made back then to paint it Rally Red and replace the White interior and top with Black. When we re-purchased the car, we decided to leave the car Red, but put the interior and top back to its factory colors. So, that’s what we did! It now has a brand-new Tuxedo interior and White soft top! And we have to say, it looks fantastic!

Under the hood is a matching #’s L79 327/350hp small block, backed up with an M20 close ratio 4-speed manual transmission. Other options include, AM/FM radio, side exhaust, and aluminum Bolt-on wheels wrapped in red line bias ply rubber. The car has just been serviced and is ready to go!

Some Random Thoughts

It would be nice to spend billions on schools and roads, but right now that money is desperately needed for political ads.

A lot of people mess up something good, by looking for something better, just to end up with something worse.

Once the rain is over, an umbrella becomes a burden to everyone. That’s how loyalty ends when benefits stop.
