Women allegedly put children in Corvette trunk

Blog Note: We know that the customers at Corvette Mike are responsible adults and would never endanger a child.  We were just as baffled with this story as you will be.  And she’s smiling in her mug shot.  Strange times these days, strange times. Thankfully the children were found.

Two Hanover women are accused of placing two young children in the trunk of their Corvette while they sat in the front.

At about 8:40 p.m. on July 10, Jessica Marie Reger, 29, was allegedly seen placing two children in the trunk of a red Corvette in the 200 block of Second Avenue.

Hanover Borough Police say Reger and the driver of the car, Ilena Gale Blackburn, 28, left and drove east on West Middle Street, where they were pulled over, documents state.

The officer asked Blackburn to open the trunk, where Reger’s two children, ages 3 and 5, were found, police said.

Blackburn faces recklessly endangering another person and improper child-restraint system charges, according to online court records. Blackburn’s arraignment is scheduled for July 22, those records state.

Reger, of 202 Second Ave., is charged with two counts each of endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person, according to charging documents. She remains in York County Prison in lieu of $2,500 bail.
